Ok so many of us are already on 5.0.1 with a tethered jailbreak. And as you can see I just posted a how to jailbreak 5.0.1 untethered, but its only for people who are not already jailbroken. A lot of you used our Ac1dsn0w tutorial to jailbreak 5.0.1,  so what about all of us who are already jailbroken but tethered ? Well the dev team has something for you as well.

Just after Redsn0w was released this morning, the greenpois0n team created an untethered patch that you can download for cydia. Simply download and install the patch in Cydia, and viola you are now untethered ! This is the best case scenario for people who area already jailbroken, as they can keep all their apps, contacts etc and no need to restore or update

To install

Open the Cydia app on your tethered jailbroken device

Search for “Corona”

Hit the “Install” button (as shown in the screen grab below)

That’s it, whats next ? iPad 2 and iPhone 4S
