We are now happy to report that today Firecore team has updated their Seas0nPass tool with support of the latest Apple TV Firmware 5.2 [6.1] for Apple TV 2G.
While we always welcome new updates and tools, this one comes with some set backs. Beware, some 3rd party plugins like Remote HD, Plex, Rowmote and XBMC are not yet compatible with this 5.1 Apple TV firmware update, however the developers @ Plex and XBMC are hard at work to get their Software working asap.
We should see an update on these very soon.
Let’s get the Jailbreaking underway then……. 
- download the package using the links above
- exact the download to your desktop, then and start Seas0nPass
You now want to select ‘Create IPSW’ to get the Jailbreak process underway
What is happening now, is the custom software to jailbreak your device is being configured.
When prompted, connect your Apple TV 2 with a micro -USB cable, you will then be asked to follow the instructions of putting your Apple TV in DFU Mode but holding the MENU and PLAY/PAUSE button for approx 7 seconds.
You will notice iTunes will pop up automatically and start the process of restoring your Apple TV to the custom firmware Seas0nPass has just created.
Once complete, iTunes will confirm your Apple TV has restored [Jailbroken]
Pretty straight forward right?!
