What’s this DFU Mode ?
DFU (Device Firmware Upgrade) mode is not the same as restore mode. DFU mode bypasses the current OS installed and allows you to upgrade or downgrade your OS. If you are getting errors trying to restore in iTunes, DFU mode is very likely for you.
The primary reason people need to access DFU mode on their iPhone is to change the firmware on the device or jailbreak your iphone,
The most common use for DFU mode is to jailbreak!
So how to put the iphone into dfu mode ?
1. Turn off your phone
2. Press and hold the Home button and power button together for 10 seconds.
3. release the power button. but Continue holding the home button until the pc beeps as a USB device is recognized.
your phone need to be at black screen :
now your in DFU Mode !
