Another new tweak out today for the iOS 5 notification system. This time it’s a music tweak by the name of MusicBanners.

MusicBanners is 100% free and can be found over in Cydia.

To install simply, start cydia, search for “MusicBanners” and then hit install.

Once installed you will see no new App icon on the acre…

Many of you out there fancy our lovely iOS in landscape mode.

Having used many tweaks in the past, i’ve found, that certain things just don’t want to rotate like you want them to. One of those things would be the iPhone bottom App Switcher. Although many tweaks can rotate the springboard, lock screen and even App icons, there was still lack of support for the bottom multitasking bar.

Well no more, SwitcherLand to the rescue.

Apple has been improving the way they handle camera shortcuts since iOS 5 has arrived.

We first started with the double tab for camera button which greatly improved our camera launch time, and now we’re onto even faster methods seen in iOS 5, such us as the swipe.

However since there is no untethered jailbreak for 5.1 out there many of the users in the jailbreak community have decided not to upgrade and hold off until a jailbreak is released.  So are we missing much from 5.1 ? Hell no. If you want a faster way to start  your iOS camera, there is even a quicker way.

Not many people know, but you can play video’s on your TV from your iDevice!!

C0redev has release a tweak for “How to Launch Siri Quicker & Full Screen” for your iDevice.

QuickSiri allows you to launch Siri in full screen mode from the first launch. Normally when you launch Siri it doesn’t open up in full screen,(instead it opens up 1/4 of the screen) and when it’s searching or responding it opens in full screen mode.

Today we’ve seen a new version of Cydia Attacher out, this time it’s a wooping version 0.0.2

So yes it’s still in the early stages, but the point is, it gets the job done.

Cydia Attacher version 0.0.2 add the ability to send songs and recording. You can record a Memo and then fire it off like.

I’ve tried this between my iPad 2 and my iPhone 4S and it wasn’t bad. If you know where the files are located then you can send pretty easy, because you need to know the URLs of each file. But then again you could use iFile and just look it up. Hopefully the next version will give you the ability to browse the filesystem to choose the file that you want to send.

One of peoples hates against iPhones is that you can’t copy your iPhone contacts to your Sim.

iKnowIt is a simple but very effective tweak that only lets you know know your low on battery just the once during a charge cycle.! pretty neat

A little thing i find annoying in iOS5 (maybe it’s just me) is that you have to “double tap” twice in the notification center to get rid of something.

FastClear is a new Cydia tweak that lets you clear all the notifications in the Notification Center with just one tap.

You hit clear and all the notifications disappear at once.

ScreenDimmer allows you to save battery life by automatically dimming your device’s screen after a pre-defined time; or if you wish by turning the backlight off.

Most users suffer unnecessary battery drain while having their iPhone not on standby. Setting auto-lock to a short time makes it better, but is an inconvenience most of the time due to permanent locking and unlocking while waiting for something.

The package costs $2.19 from the Cydia store. Compatible with the latest iOS5 on iPod,iPhone. (I’ve not tested on iPad yet)

I know that this isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but some people are bored with the standard setup of 4 icons on your iDevice dock. Jay Freeman (aka Saurik, creator or Cydia) released a tweak called: Five Icon Dock.

Basically this is just a simple small tweak that allows you to push that extra icon onto your dock, so maybe this is useful to you if you want to gain an extra icon space on your springboard, and want to use up the space on your dock, either way it can be of some use.
