As I wrote in my previous article, now that you have just Jailbroken your iOS 6 device, I am sure you’ll be looking up for some fancy tweaks which can personalize your device more with you.

The following one definitely belongs to this category and to one of my favourite Cydia tweaks.

The tweak is called Auxo and it totally changes the design of the multitasking bar and it gives it some additional features, except from switching between apps. It was first spotted on The Verge forums three and a half months ago and it was officially released about a month ago.

First thing you’ll notice is that Auxo changes the way the app are featured on the bar. Each one has a big preview of it and the logo of the app down in the middle.

Apps Overview

To remove an app from the bar all the user has to do is to swipe it down and it will be vanished. Auxo also features multi-touch capabilities as it allows the user to remove two apps in the same time. Also, if you type on an app for couple of seconds a menu will pop up asking you if you want to remove all the apps from the multitasking tray.

The tweak also offers a new design in the music section of the app switcher. It has one shortcut for the Media Player app the user uses (f.i. Music app, Chrome, Safari, Downloads, TubeBox) and the small logo on the left hand side shows the cover of the album, which can be enlarged. Between of those two it provides the user with info regarding the title of the song that is playing. Swipe down and you’ll find the volume optimizer, where you can rise and lower the volume, and in the bottom you’ll find three media buttons, including the play, next & previous song buttons.

Swiping to the left for one more time you’ll find three lines of the most useful toggles. The ones that are included in Auxo are more than those that are featured on SBSettings.

The first one includes the orientation lock, WiFi, Bluetooth and 3G toggles. The second one includes the Airplane mode, profile switcher, Personal Hotspot and Data toggles. From the last line of toggles you can enable and disable the LED flash (iPhone 4, 4S, 5 & iPod Touch 5G), vibration mode, location services and respring your device. The LED flash toggle was a feature that I definitely missed from SBSettings.Below of the three sections of toggles, Auxo also offers brightness optimization.

Cool stuff right? I’ve been using Auxo for a week and so far it’s been an incredible experience. I really liked that the app brings refreshment to the design of the multitasking bar and simultaneously offers a big variety of toggles. It’s a great time saver as the user doesn’t have to exit the app he/she is using, go to the springboard and enable from Settings all the OS features mentioned above. Though, I feel I have to mention here the fact that while using Auxo sometimes I faced some intensive lag while using the multitasking bar and it cause my iPhone to go in Safe Mode and then respring again to bring it in the normal mode. It’s certainly something that the developers of the tweak should keep in mind and fix soon. It’s compatible with iOS 5.x and iOS 6.x, and it currently is available only for iPhone and iPod touch.
